The Airports of Peru concessionaire (ADP) this year expects to commercial flights to the airport in Chachapoyas, in the Amazon region. Therefore, it has so far invested US$ 4.65 million to improve the infrastructure of the terminal located in northeastern of Peru.
"We have worked such as paving the parking lot, the entrance porch, the refurbishment of the passenger terminal, fire station, the perimeter road and pavement maintenance of runways, among other works," said Evans Avendaño, CEO of ADP.
He said they have also acquired X-ray machines, scales, luggage cars, loud speaker systems and flight information screens. Chachapoyas is 100 percent operative to receive commercial flights. The idea is to connect dealer directly Lima to Chachapoyas, which would make any operation profitable.
