Arequipa receives over one million tourists in 2015


One million and 296.272 tourists from home and abroad arrived to the Arequipa region interested in knowing their interest and develop business on the last year, the regional management of Foreign Trade and Tourism.

Based on these figures we can see that tourists who arrived in Arequipa last year is higher than that obtained in 2014. The year ended were 214.271 foreign tourists who arrived in the Arequipa region.

This distinction has allowed more people in the world are interested to know the customs of the Colca Valley, the main tourist attraction of the region and the city of Arequipa.

By 2016 the authorities of the regional management of foreign trade and tourism expect the numbers will increase due to the work of tourism promotion started months ago and recent international events held in the city as the Congress of World Heritage Cities, Mining Convention and others.

New route from Machu Picchu will inaugurated in May

Chachapoyas airport is ready to receive direct flights from Lima



The Airports of Peru concessionaire (ADP) this year expects to commercial flights to the airport in Chachapoyas, in the Amazon region. Therefore, it has so far invested US$ 4.65 million to improve the infrastructure of the terminal located in northeastern of Peru.
