Train from Cusco to Puno among the most spectacular travel the world




The Lonely Planet magazine compiled a list of the nine most spectacular train trips around the world, which included the railway route linking the cities of Cusco and Puno, in the southern region of Peru.

"This train makes a 10-hour journey between Cusco and Puno on Lake Titicaca. Cusco presents a unique combination of colonial and religious splendor built on the solid foundation stone of the Incas. The high altitude at which is located the lake ensures an exceptionally pure air, sunlight bathes the Andean highlands and shines in the deep waters of Titicaca, "says the publication in an article posted on its website. 

The list of famous travel guide includes courses on the train Outeniqua Choo-Tjoe in South Africa; Copper Canyon in Mexico; Rocky Mountaineer in Canada; and the Devil's Nose in Ecuador.

Also listed Orient Express train Venice-Simplon; the Coast Starlight in the United States; and Old Patagonian Express in Argentina.
